Guadalupe School Book Drive and Shopping Cards
In 2003 Sahara committed to helping the Guadalupe School in Salt Lake City. This school focuses on education for children from preschool to third grade in households making $16,0000/annually or less. Sahara Associates contributed to the school by use shopping cards at local grocery stores. By using these cards, a percentage of what we spent at the store went directly to the Guadalupe School. We also collected approximately $500 in new and used books to donate to the school. The teachers and students were thrilled with the books and we had a great time delivering the books to classes and reading with the children.
